Help, project deadline-is this good or bad?

I have been given a project to do and send in to a placement I was doing. I did the work at the place, put it on a data stick and was going to tidy it up and home and send it in, but it got corrupted so have had to start again. It has to be in today.

Dd has been at school mornings only and I've been flitting around getting it finished, and am having four sets of people a day viewing our house to rent it, so progress is slow (have been up until 6am three times this week). I have two choices. Can do a bad rush job and get it in for 3pm, or send it in monday morning.

I emailed and got this response - "Paddington dear, Go ahead and do all you need to do. Please send me everything on Monday morning". Does that mean I am going to get an awful reference? Argh! If I do an outstanding job then will it redeem me? Help!

It seems quite a light hearted response to me. I'd do a really outstanding piece of work and send it Sunday night and apologise for the delay due to corruption. I wouldn't mention everything else!!

Oh I wouldn't worry, in my job as a writery type, deadlines mean several days afterwards. If I get a friday deadline, it always means monday to me. Just make sure it's on par and get it off, as soon as you can.

Oooh I love you both. Have a magnum and wine as a carrot on a stick (well, not the magnum, it will melt! )

Don't mind if I do! Best of luck.
