My baby is due beginging of February 09 and I am looking to take 9 months SMP. Does my company have to offer me the same job when I return?

Or can they offer me any job on the same money?

same job unless not practical then they have to offer you an equivalent one (and "equivalent" doesn't just mean in monetary terms)

Job needs to be 'suitable' and on no less favourable terms and conditions. So it would normally be the same or similar hours, same money (or equivalent package) and with tasks and responsibilities suitable for you.
