New tax code

Hi,

Like many others this month my tax code appears to have changed. Does anyone know why this is? Was it mentioned in the Budget and I missed it? Is it for this month only or is this my new code?

This is your new code for the rest of the tax year. After abolishing the 10% tax rate and hitting all the low earners the Governemtn was forced to increase the personal allowance. So you should have got up to £55 or so extra this month (covering Apr to Sep) and then you will get £10 a month extra for the rest of the tax year.
