I am planning to go back to work in the next few months. I need advice, chilminder or nursery? Two ds 6 years and 20 months.

I think a childminder would suit you better in my opinion. If your 20 month old went to day nursery you would then have to sort out care for your 6 year old.

At least at a childminders the children could be together in the mornings and afternoons and the childminder may even be looking after a child of a similar age to your little one.

Hope that helps and good luck with going back to work

Having done both over the last 3 years I think childminder is a better option, esp if she'll do the school pickups or whatever. The environment is more homely (at our CM's anyway), and it's generally easier if you have a crisis that means you have to be late picking up or whatever.

Of course if your children hate each other, and would be happier kept apart, then nursery might be a better bet
