Other than the childcare link, any advice/help/ suggestions?
I would like to be able to find out ofsted number, but is the only way to ring each childminder up and ask?
Thanks in anticipation!

Your local council will have a list of registered childminders in the ares. Not sure about Ofsted numbers.

Also ask around for recommendations, its easier than starting with a 'cold' list.

Did you look at the CIS - Childrens information service?

Where abouts are you..I am a childminder with vacancies but am in Scarborough.

Thanks Pippa

Oh...as far as i'm aware you can only get the Ofsted number of the Childminder..If you look at the Ofsted Website you can read inspection reports of any childminder in your area.
