Jobs in private schools

I have been offered a job in a private school. Do you normally get reduced fees if you work there, my friends said i should have asked at the interview but it just didn't seem right to ask. we have looked at the pros and cons in me taking the job and have decided it would only be worth it if we get reduced fees.

My kids are due to go there next year at 7+ so it would help out with the fees, but if i ask would it make things akward when they start next year

my friend is a teacher at a private school and he gets 50% reduced fees

It's at the discretion of the school but, yes, most schools give discount. However, a lot have started to make the discount means-tested, which means it's not automatic, but only given if you genuinely could not afford it otherwise.
