Have been giving this some thought lately.
Is anyone out there a proof reader?
Waht does it entail?
How much can you earn?
How do I go about it?

Have a look at the Society for Editors and Proofreaders: they have good info on this on their site: www.sfep.org.uk/ and you're better going through them than following an advert!

I've done some proofreading (don't do so much now though as do other editorial work instead, better paid). SFEP is a good place to start. There are courses you can do with SFEP. I got into it though because I used to work for Ox Uni Press so luckily had all my contacts already. For proofreading I used to get about £12 an hour.
