I'm S/E, a childminder - I run a large CM setting with no very few children

In order to keep my staff on until things pick up pipe dream I am going to try 7 get temp work

Is this a silly reason to find temp work, will they laugh? Should I come up with a different reason for looking for work?

Yes it was definitely you KatyMac. Hair not too dark, very nice

You should have mentioned that you have vacancies and plugged your business a bit!

KatyMac · 28/08/2008 08:55

Well I thought about it....but thought it would look a bit unprofessional

Katymac, do schools in your area do the half-day reception thing for 1st half term? Maybe getting some of them would help tide you over? All though I guess you would need some means of collecting them from schools.

KatyMac, I'm wondering why you don't down size your buisness? Surely it would make better buisness sence for you to CM alone, and not employ anyone atm?

KatyMac · 28/08/2008 11:21

Probably but 4 families depend on me for wages - If I give them up then get new children they may have found alternative work so I would have to re-recruit

It took ages to get a good team together and I want to try my hardest to enable us to continue working together - so that at least if I do have to lay them off they know I tried as hard as a could to keep them employed
