I think I will have to laugh about it else I might cry.

I have cleaned my own home for 12 years, and was a cleaner in a hotel pre kids, but if I applied for that job, i'd not get it because I don't have an nvq in cleaning.

Find me a brick wall someone, my head needs to bash up against it.

I don't actually want the job by the way, am just gobsmacked about it.

Where the hell do you go to get an NVQ in cleaning! I work in an FE college and we don't run any such course!!! Its kinda mad is it not!

I suppose it is a work based thing, but then obviously you need to be able to get a job in the first place to be able to do the work based training.

It is nuts it really is.

No wonder I have been job hunting for so long without success.
