Any Mums out there running their own business making cakes & biscuits?

I am thinking about starting some sort of venture from home and this is one possibility, probably just selling to local mums initially. I'd like to know how much legislation type stuff I'd need to worry about, eg getting a food hygiene certificate, registering myself as a company selling food. Or am I getting a bit carried away for someone who's just planning to sell some biscuits to local mums?

I think you may have to have separate facilities for cooking for business, but I may be wrong.

I knew someone who did this for a livign and she had two kitchens.
