Question on hours.

I am thinking about returning to work, and have seen one post for 15hrs a week. Would it appear daft to phone up and ask beforehand if they know if the hours will be over 5 days or in a longer block but less days of the week?

My motive behind this is to think about the options for childcare but would it be a siren to said person of a mother that comes with children in the scene somewhere?

Should I just wait to ask if I get an interview? (silly question I am sure)

Not silly at all- they probaby know the hours/days already- if not suitable for you then you only waste their time and yours if you wait until the interview

If they are advertising a job for 15 hours a week then they will probably expect most of the applicants to have reasons why they arent looking for full time work, so I dont think they will be surprised that you want to know how many days the hours are over.
