Application form question with yes or no answer
" Do you have 2 yrs children's nurse post reg experience or equivalent?"

I answered no as i'm not a childrens nurse but I am a general nurse and the job was open to both, so I think I should have answered yes but felt it was a bit ambiguous.

What does any one else think? And are they likely to overlook it as my application clearly shows I am a nurse with my registration number etc.? TIA

Well I would have said no but added a note of what you have said here.

Well, it depends. A general nurse can actually have equivalent experience with children.

I agree it's a bit ambiguous.

savoycabbage · 01/07/2008 17:44

Could you cross out 'children's'?

I don't know though. That might look weird.

I am no help. Sorry.

LaylaandSethsmum · 01/07/2008 17:45

I applied online and once its gone theres no chnging it but i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks its ambiguous. Also there was no way of adding a note to explain it was just yes or no.

I'd have put no, because you don't. Your experience as a general nurse will presumably be on there for them to see anyway?

Good luck!
