A question I am sure someone will be able to help me with. Have my own Ltd company and ran successfully for four years before had DS. Doing HR and Training. Shortly after mat leave finished last November I accepted a part time job with one of my clients. Now I have decided to go back contracting after 8 months for variety of reasons but mostly work/life balance. The intention is I will start in July but haven't yet formally resigned. Everything fine as current company have promised me work (fingers crossed!) so far so good. My ? is we would love baby no 2 and trying.... how will this work re mat leave? I think, from internet research that if Ltd company pays me a wage for at least six months prior to any future mat. leave I will be able to claim okay and get statutory mat. leave as I did last time but bit concerned before I make the final decision to resign. All this is a little hypothetical as not pregnant but could be....would really appreciate your advice/thoughts ladies!

As far as I know if you are up to date with your NI and are registered self employed you'll get maternity allowance
