Becoming a private nutritionist with a non-accredited food science degree

Wonder if there are any nutritionists out there who can help me. I did a degree in food science and nutrition got a 2.1 and started work as a food technologist. Ultimately I would like to be a nutritionist with a small private practice. I have been on the website for the Association of Nutrition, and my degree course was not accredited so being registered with them will be a long process. Do I need to be registered with them to practice? And are there any other courses that mumsnetters could recommend that I could do other than a masters so I can go down this route of becoming a private nutritionist?

Literally anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. It’s a nonsense term. So crack on. You just can’t call yourself a dietitian.
