he wants to move jobs out of london and also reorganise departments, it seems like a lot of jobs will be lost in the civil service.

The civil service is very over bloated. We can't afford all the pensions contributions at over 25 percent employers contributions. We need to trim CS service back to similar numbers as to before COVID.

He'll never be allowed to trim civil service

You mean all the extra civil servants doing the additional work created by Brexit?
So you're in favour of reversing Brexit and rejoining the EU?

Nothing to do with Brexit.

Nothing to do with Brexit.

So Brexit didn't create any extra work in the UK due to bringing functions into the UK that had previously been shared with the EU?

Or any new customs obligations?

I'm guessing you don't know very much about the administrative side of Brexit if you think it could magically have been done by zero civil servants.

Not scared at all - good to have a non-London centric prime minister considering the interests of the rest of the UK

Jeez oh - another post slagging off Burnham. It’s a wonder so many Mumsnetters have a problem with him. Particularly those with only a handful of posts, none of which are parenting related. 🤷‍♀️

I do think it’s orchestrated. So many ’Labour are planning to destroy civilisation as we know it’ threads on a daily basis.

I'm just worried about yet more taxes he seems to want to impose. No one voted for tax rises. 10 percent on all estates is awful. It means most people paying for others yet again.
