Will I still be paid over summer holidays after parental leave?

Im an SNA in a school.I Am currently on maternity leave until May. I can take parents leave until June which brings me up till summer holidays.
my question is will I get paid for the summer holidays after parents leave if I do not go back for a period of time before school ends.

Don’t most people go back for a week in July to make this work?

TBH without your contract it’s impossible to say, you need to speak to HR.

When you say parents leave do you mean unpaid parental leave: https://www.gov.uk/parental-leave

If so then you should have only requested a certain number of weeks, if this is before the summer holidays then yes you should be paid for the summer holidays. They cannot unilaterally extend the leave.
