Critical Illness policies and P11Ds...to include or not to include.....

am up to my eyeballs in tax at the moment..

about to fill in all the P11Ds and I checked last years to see that they had put the critical illness portion in with the medical insurance (critical illness is included as part of the premium with the life assurance).

Now, I called up with critical illness peeps and they told me I don't need to include it on the P11D but it has been included for the last goodness knows how many years and I must admit, I had at the back of my mind that this portion was taxable (whereas the life bit has always been non taxable - I'm talking about premiums here, not payouts which are totally different and I know Critical ILlness payouts are non taxable).

I've looked for online HMRC guidance but can't find any and I've just checked my bible Tolleys but can't see anything there either so wondered if anyone happened to know.

I can call HMRC but it will probably take me longer than asking on here.

Thanks.
