Hi everyone, that’s a difficult topic for me so please don’t judge. I have been stay at home mum for the last 13 years( no benefits, husband earns enough for us ). I had an uni degree abroad , then I got married, moved to the uk and had 2 kids.
There is a zero pressure from my husband but I’m ready to go back to work. I have been doing some volunteering with the local school, plus PTA and local charity that helps providing food to the families in difficult situation. The main problem for me is I don’t have any proper work experience and I’m struggling with the references. Would the people from my charity and school voluntary work count for my references?

Yes charity and voluntary and PTA connections count as references. You can hopefully craft some experience and skills from volunteering and PTA.

Doesn’t sound like your husband is supportive, as he could have told you this.
if you are ready to go back then go for it, your references should be fine particularly for something entry level.

What was your degree in? What are you interested in?
