First day of a new job tomorrow and back in an office after almost 2 years..

Agh I think I’m looking for a hand hold, I’m really nervous. I start an exciting new job tomorrow but have moved from a fully remote role back to an office 5 days a week. I don’t even know what to wear anymore! I was going to wear a black top, tapered plaid trousers and brogues - is that ok?! Dress code is business smart casual.

I’ve packed lunch ready, DH is off work so no drop off to worry about thankfully.. I just need to remember how to interact with humans. HATE being the newbie again, but hoping that feeling will be gone after a few months.

I’m sure you’ll be fine. Your outfit sounds spot on and you’re well prepared. I work a split of WFH days and office days and I genuinely enjoy my office days - I like my colleagues and I enjoy the buzz. I hope you do too. Best of luck!

Oh good luck. I started a new job in January that was full time back in the office after almost 5 years working from home - never went back to the office after Covid times.

It did take a while to adjust and I felt quite tired for a while - and missed being able to pop on a wash or make a start on dinner - but acclimatised 😂 and now I love it. Hope all goes well for you! 😊
