Or, as I've just found out, not going back to work

Basically me and the employer couldn't reach an agreement on flexible working, so that's that!

Have had a preliminary look at some websites - monster, reed - and they seem pretty rubbish, difficult to navigate and seem to return jobs miles away the whole time even when I tell them not to!

Been out of the whole job hunting thing for a while so my question is, which websites are the best for searching, especially for part time jobs? Are there any specific sites for part-time jobs? Any tips - I've only ever worked full time before and suspect that landing a job 2 days a week in my local area may be a tad difficult. Don't really mind what I do though or in what sector or how much it pays (all within reason!).

I find local papers good for this sort of thing.

I would keep an eye on your local paper, part time jobs often advertised there. Also your local authority website. Other websites to try are www.workingmums.co.uk/ and www.justparttime.co.uk/

There is also www.jobshare-uk.com/ which has a national job share register and might be useful. HTH

Thanks for those. I like to check out the jobs in the local paper so am on the case with that one!

I will check out those websites also.

Still a bit shellshocked about the whole flexible working meeting farce to be honest, just need to get on with sorting something else out now!

If you're in London this is a worth a look. Good luck.

Thanks Stripy, I was racking my brain trying to remember what that one was called as I remember seeing an article about it a while ago.

All these suggestions are great thanks all.

Local council websites and NHS too. Loads of jobs don't make it into 'print' and are only listed online.
