Do you or someone you know work in any of these roles?

If so, could you please tell me what your experience of it is, and which one of these jobs do you think would best suit me?
I can work 4 out of 7 days each week, I have non negotiable commitments on the other days. I have the option to do either a health sciences or psychology degree, I’m definitely leaning more into the health sciences!

Family support worker
Children’s advocate
Children protection officer
Mental health support worker
Mental health case worker
Substance misuse caseworker
Recovery support worker
Housing officer
Tenancy sustainment officer
Housing and resettlement officer
Care coordinator

Most of those roles will require you to have experience in that area, even if it's as a volunteer. Do you have that experience? Your list is quite extensive, it might be better to concentrate on one cohort, or at least decide if you want to work with children or adults.

Some jobs will be more flexible than others. When you say you can only work four days a week, are those set days? Are you able to work in the evenings?

I have done a couple of those roles, albeit a very long time ago, but I work alongside people who are currently in those roles. I think there is scope for flexibility, but there will also be some core requirements.

I work in ASC in a LA, and I am open to employing people who need flexibility in their working pattern, but some things are non negotiable.

I don't expect you'd need a degree for housing officer and similar roles. I used to work for a large HA and don't recall degrees being necessary for these roles at all. Plenty were done on a part time or job share basis.
