Sent what's app to boss about him in error was meant for colleague

My colleague was having a problem work related and she comes to me for help.
I let boss know we couldn't get a solution and his reply was you can't expect people to do do things when you want, it doesn't work like that. So I was what's app my colleague what he said and sent it to him.
It's a sales invoice and the person she needed info off wasn't given it to her on time which affects all our work and keeps everything back it happens alot.

I deleted it when I noticed but don't know if he read it. I went on a bit of a rant colleague thinks it's funny but I'm nervous
Is there anyway I can find out if he read it other than asking him.

No one can tell you if he has read it or not. No one knows how your boss would react to that sort of message either.

In your situation, I would own it. Go to him about the issue in person, talk through how the problems could be solved, or even eased a little. Be a person who isn’t just one to rant, but be proactive.

Either I’m going mad or this exact post was on here a couple of weeks ago

You could only see if he’d read it if you still had the message to check the read status. However, that isn’t necessarily the best indicator. My friend has previews on her Home Screen so can read a message without opening WhatsApp.

i can read WhatsApp messages on my watch and they don’t then show as read on WhatsApp.
