I can't tell you what the best thing to do is obviously, only you and DH can work that out, it's such a balancing act trying to earn enough money and keep everyone happy.
But if you would only have to do it until January, that's not that long. So either it will go quick, or, if it's only needing to be a short term thing anyway, could you pull in the belt a bit tighter temporarily, or look at alternative ways of filling in some of the financial gaps on a temporary basis?
