Hello mumsnetters, this is my first post. Hoping somebody could advise on my work situation. My question relates to eligibility for the 30 'free' childcare hours for working parents from September 2025.
Quick summary below:
Maternity leave until September 2025.
Late Sept to late-December 2025 unpaid parental leave
Late-December 2025 to Feb 2026 paid leave/annual leave. I'd return to work full time from then onwards
My question related specifically to my two year old who is in a private nursery. My baby will not be in nursery but will go to grandparents. Will I be entitled to the 30 free hours for my two year old for the period 1) September 2025-December 2025. 2) January 2026-March 2026.
