Hello,
Apologies in advance this is totally alien to me.
As part of what seemed positive talks to go back to work; my employer mentioned an organisation I might like to contact, I was thinking it might be covering trauma or something to do with mobility, but now understand it to be more along the lines of mental health.
From what I’ve seen it looks to be one of those (workplace providers for the unemployed-just recognise the under riding name) who are applying to the ‘DWP for funding’ for a 9 month programme for someone in work.
(I don’t work for DWP but a local authority)
It just threw me as the questions being asked are like what has your employer done to decline your mental health and I was like they haven’t, I’ve basically had a physical trauma unforeseen away from work which may have lowered my usual mindframe and said I think my employer may have referred to you due to some calls I may take being quite triggering to my own situation. My employer did not cause any trauma here and hardly responsible for a medical situation which seems just a freak act.
They did say they aren’t counsellor's and can give advice/tips on managing at work; telephone support for an hour and a half at times, moving to online video link and face 2 face in future if needed.
