Pay for CM while DC at school?

I am thinking of going back to work in a couple of years, but have been thinking about it recently. Will I have to pay for CM while my DD1 is at school or do I just pay the CM when she is actually with DD1?
Also, how do I find a job and a CM at the same time, which do I do first, if I find a job with no CM I have no-one to have DDs but if I find a CM with no job I wouldn't be able to pay her. Confused !?!

Ive found a CM first, I only pay mine for DS1 when hes there, DS2 will be fulltime.

Always find it more impressive in interviews if you can say you have a CM waiting to start. Also handy for interviews

I charge for before and after school only. If i have a child in holidays too i tend to work the fees out over the year and have a set monthly fee.

Not what you asked but might be useful if you are talking money with a CM.

I have had calls from potential clients when i have had a vacancy and have agreed to a 4-6 week period to allow mum or dad to find a job. If after that time i hae an offer i give the 1st parent first refusal.

Good luck!!

Thank you that is useful to know. It won't be for quite a while yet, but I'm one of those people that likes to work things out (and probably worry about) in advance.
