I started a long term job in a school that is further from me. Started 2 weeks before half term to get to know and then as their teacher after Easter half term. The problem here is even though this job could be temp to perm it's a 55 min drive each way most days and 45 mins on good days. It's a good backup to have as it seems like a decent school so far and year group I wanted. Just very far. Also 2 trainings per week which means two late evenings every week. It's okay now as it's bright and sunny travelling but winter will be difficult.

There is a job that came up nearby. The problem is if I apply and get invited, I have to take a day off. I have already taken 2 days unfortunately for an illness at beginning of term. If I take another in the next two weeks, not sure what they will think. But how else can I apply for perm jobs for September?
How would you go on about this situation?

The job I may apply to is not a definite year group but 10 min drive both ways. It’s just the guilt of taken time of the job I accepted- feels like their relying on me and I’m doing a shit job if I keep going to interviews and taking time off.
