working nights

Does anyone work nights? Would love to know your experiences. Do you find it easier or harder to fit around the kids? I have 3 kids and the cost of childcare is crippling us, i am considering taking a night job as to be home in the day when kids of school.

DH worked nights so not really the same senario but it worked out OK. The hard thing is getting enough rest, when he got in he would potter about for an hour or so then only get about 5 hours sleep before getting up, getting ready and off out again. But that was long night shifts. How old are your kids?

I work as a night nanny which can be very tiring.

The money is good though and i can be around for school assemblies and all of those other preciuos times
