Those of you that work in recruitment - how did you get into it please?

How did you guys get into recruitment please?

I work in HR and there are a ton of redundancies; especially in recruitment! Companies don’t really value HR and it’s a thankless and low paid field. I’m leaving HR and would never recommend it to anyone!

Do you mean in an agency? Or do you mean in an HR dept?

I deal with both. Those in HR tend to have a CIPD qualification whereas those in agency tend to have been trained in sales skills.

I wouldn’t do it. I did it for years and it’s very high pressure sales .. you’re only as good as your last three months figures. I get shivers thinking about it now
