I run a website called Flexible Skills Bank (www.flexibleskillsbank.co.uk) which focuses on finding local part time jobs, that only use your skills and experience. I purposely won't take ads from get rich quick schemes, waitressing, franchises or any of the types of jobs you are talking about because I experienced the same frustration as you. The site has been running in Hertfordshire for 18 months now and regularly attracts well paid, flexible jobs and we have just recently expanded into all the other home counties and hope to replicate our success there. These jobs do exist, so don't despair.
