15 year old job? National insurance number?

Struggling to find the answer online so hoping you lovely lots can help.

My daughter (just turned 15) wants a job just a shift or two a week. A local restaurant has said yes if she has a national insurance number.

Google just tells me that she'll get it 3 months before she's 16. Can I request it early? Can she not work without it at the age of 15? (I realise there are rules about shift times, breaks etc)

Thanks in advance.

I would look elsewhere. They don't pay NI until they are 16 and plenty of kids under that age have jobs.

Thanks. We have been in touch with the 4 locals restaurants and they are the only ones to have replied at the moment.

I don't think you can work until you are 15 and 9 months except in specific jobs

Google directed me to the gov sure which has lots of info including:

Restrictions on child employment
There are several restrictions on when and where children are allowed to work.
Children are not allowed to work:
• without an employment permit issued by the education department of the local council, if this is required by local bylaws
