Self-employed and maternity pay etc

Im not pg (but ttc no.2). I work from home self-employed 30hrs a week. I pay my NI monthly, no problems. What can I claim maternity-wise if/when I get pg again?

Very forward planning I know but it never hurts to know! Ive looked on direct.gov etc but cant see the wood for the trees. Any advice much appreciated.

AS long as you have been paying your NI, then you should get Maternity Allowance quite easily. I did and was quite surprised to get it!

I think you get maternity allowance for 39 weeks of about £112 but I might be wrong. I worked for myself when I had the twins but I just kept working, even the week after they were born so I didn't claim anything.
