To find this weird by my line manager during my maternity leave

Yay to my first post after lurking over the last 5 years since my first was born!
I'm currently on shared leave- 3 months in have another 3 to go. I have/had a good relationship with my line manager who involved me in recruiment of my mat cover before leaving. Managed to have a short handover period too. But I've just found out that my name/photo/role has disappeared from all our team slides/presentations and replaced by my mat cover. mind you this is at team level but as a programme manager all my work is now under my mat covers name without me existing even as on mat leave. I would expect us to both appear. To me anyone working at my dept/organisation/our collaborators wouldn't even know I existed. We are a small team of 7 working in a niche funtion across the business- you'd know our team! we are also very external facing.Feeling rather under valued here and hoping this isnt a way to manage me out or give me another role when i return... here for reassurance? and opinions on if I'm being too sensitive? or thoughts on if this is indeed weird. any similar stories. thanks

I don’t necessarily think this is a red flag, I’m on maternity and I know my team removed my name and photo etc from our team slides and home page and my mat cover’s is there instead. It was a deliberate thing so that when someone looks on those pages to contact someone for guidance/to refer a case they don’t end up contacting me and then wondering why they have had no response. I do have an Out Of Office on which clearly states I am on maternity and back X date, so you would think that would be enough, but some people don’t think or read anything as even despite these updates when I logged onto my emails a few weeks ago to contact HR I noticed I have 50+ emails from various people trying to get in touch with me about cases, and when I haven’t replied the first time they’ve got in touch multiple times after that chasing me. They DO get my automatic OOO reply for each one, they just clearly aren’t bothering to read it!

So I think if it is for that reason that totally understandable.

They are making her /him feel valued and included and they are your replacement. I think you are being very over sensitive regarding this

Thanks! That's a good perpective to have. I have my OOO as well with all the contact info in place for where queries should be directed with my return date etc...
