Is there anyone out there who could provide me insight into how career changes are viewed. Basically, I studied law and am coming to the end of studying for a legal qualification (part-time) but have been working in a related, but not really the same thing, compliance area in a financial institution.
I have tried (very unsuccessfully) to secure a training contract and was considering my options, career-wise, in the investment banking world (though not in my current position).
There are people I have met who have moved amongst different divisions and so on, but they're much more senior than I am.
Suggestions and/or views?
