If so, what do you do?

I'm looking for inspiration!

Through my work I know a couple of people who work in IT for Amazon and WFH in York but their official office base is in London and they go once a week

My background is healthcare/medical diagnostics/quality

I looked into it - civil service and charity sector. I opted not to. The requirement was 2 days in the office (at least for now) but the cost of train travel and accommodation plus the total pita, was not worth it.

I also looked at Edinburgh for consultancy which would have been far cheaper commute and shorter travel time with more choices. But I could also have opted for Leeds.

@TakeMeToTheSouth maybe you should consider med-tech/fem-tech start-ups?

Commute would really depend on the office location - Amazon is right at Kings Cross I believe (as is Google, Universal and a few other biggies) so that would be ideal.

I do - live in York and in your previous role went to London as and when required. Am currently looking for a new role and vast majority want 2 days per week in London if not more. It is very expensive unless you book weeks in advance. I tend to get the 06.32 train.

Sorry, I got a call whilst writing that! Too late to edit now Blush

I work for a corporate law firm.
