Well . . . As you know I didn't get the job. But I was chuffed to have made it to the top 3. Had the chat and interview feedback from boss. More like final 2 in the end. On any other interview I would apparently have breezed it. I have been offered deputy manager position. Basically I still do my normal reduced hours unless I am needed for cover. This will put me in a v strong position should another job come up (which I know is v likely).
Last night we had another chat and he's put my name forward for another position which is more skilled, more money and still my same hours. This on top of deputy. It's got to be agreed with his boss but should it come through it will put me in an even stronger postition as I will have more training/experience than most of the current managers!!! So even if this one doesn't happen its really nice to know my boss is really trying to put me in a strong position.
So it would seem I didn't 'blow it' after all
