Got interviews and need URGENT advice!

Right - I've got 3 interviews this week. One today, one tomorrow and one friday. The thing is I really want the one tomorrow but if I don't get it would be happy to take todays or Fridays jobs.

My problem is - what do I say today if they offer me the job to kind of put them on hold until I find out about tomorrow? I don't want them to think they are second best or not offer me the job because I have other job interviews.

HELP! PLEASE!

I know you'll be able to help because you are such nice people and brilliant at being kind!

Thanks!

Its pretty unusual to get offered the job on the spot these days, so you should be OK. It took 5 weeks for DH to get offered his current job, and that was an internal transfer !

Unfortunately I know they will be offered on the day - they are Teaching Assistant jobs and they are temporary contracts and IME they always offer on the day. And this time they will be keen to get it done as our schools break up for the Easter holidays on friday!

'Oh that's fantastic thank you very much. Let me talk to dh about it tonight and I'll be in touch tomorrow'

What titchy said.

Thanks!

I'd kind of though that but wasn't sure if employers would then think that I can't make up my own mind LOL!

Didn't know if anybody had anything else they had used????

They probably would think that but what the hell!

I think it's perfectly acceptable to ask to think about it. They must realise that people don't just apply for one job and therefore they have to make a decision and that takes time.

My dh was offered a job and asked to think about it over night. Ultimately they can't revoke the offer just because you don't say yes immediately.

Thanks again!

Am just so desperate to get one of these jobs that am panicking slightly (need to change because of childcare/support issues for DS and looking to get a new job asap to get a quick win to help him)!!!

[panic style emoticon with lots of talking too much to cover nervousness]

Good luck! Nobody should expect you to make a decision on the spot so don't be pressurized into it.

Hope you get the one you want.

Thanks twofalls. Am just off to first one - knees knocking!
