Mini IQ - any good as an earner around a toddler?

I'm looking at doing daytime Mini IQ parties, so that I can take DS with me and still make some money. Anybody tried this? Did it work, did you make anything?
Need to do something, but can't bear to leave my little cherub.

Sorry, don't know anything about the parties, but DS was given one of the games for Christmas and I am reliably informed it is "rubbish".

Fluffygiraffe - I did Mini IQ for about six months. It was ok. I enjoyed it but didn't make a huge amount of money doing it. I think it's one of those jobs that the more you put into it the more you will get out of it, ie earning more money.
I stopped doing the parties because I seemed to get stuck in the same circle of people and everyone was getting fed up with having/going to the same parties over and over. I also found that I was putting the effort in and going to parties where sometimes only one of two guests would arrive. I probably spent more on petrol and took time out from my family, and then never actually made much profit.
I know of people that have been doing it a very long time and have been successful though.

Sparkler did it for a while, if I see her around I will point her in this direction.

Dd has had some great stuff from them. She loves the Pirate Pete book.

I do Mini-iq and have for a while - tbh daytime parties with a toddler can be a bit tricky , depending on how reliable DS is.

It can be done, but I usually do eves so combine a night out/ night off with earning some money. happy to answer any more if I can - whereabouts are you?

Perpetualworrier - would love to know what gane was 'rubbish', there aren't that many games - as we're mainly books. in any case different kids like different things so it wouldnt bother me.

Thanks - I really don't want to be out in the evenings so I'd prefer daytime parties. DS is very sociable so I'm hoping he'll really enjoy himself, although he is into absolutely everything so maybe that would cause a problem. I'd like to stay pretty local with the parties - maybe just a 10-15 mile radius. I'm in Hastings.

you can do daytimes - as long as he's happy to play around you . I found it hard at first but soon progressed to being able to talk about the products and keep an eye on mine and other kids - it worked best when I got them to show a book they liked or go a few of them playign with 'the old lady' or pass the bag.

it's probably worth giving it a go - you'll only know how it works for you and your DS when you try it!

Mini-IQ is a party plan company selling a range of books and toys - with the focus on educational and interactive stuff. fits well if you've got kids and love books and are pretty sociable and can earn pocket money to proper money - depends how much you do.

If you are still looking to do something. There is another company called Tish Tash Toys, who are currently expanding their network of agents. They are not as long established as Mini-IQ and there is a lot of potential for toddler groups, coffee mornings etc. We sell beautiful and educational toys for children from birth up.
