Dreading going back to work after being off ill

Been off work with vertigo for 2 week and though I'm not 100% (changing over anti d's as well) I'm alot better than I have been.

My note runs out tomorrow and I'm due back at work and it's stressing me out so much so that I feel sick.

I enjoy the work and know that I'm good at it, but, also know how they talk about people who are on sick. Also, if they want to do the return to work interview, they aren't very subtle and try and word things wrong (NHS eh?)

Poor you, I know how you feel dreading going back. I had almost 6 months of after a bereavement, and before that I was on maternity leave, before that off sick with work stuff.

I was very very worried about how my colleagues would view me, slack, lazy, no point being involved as will just go off again.

The first day was the most dreadful day I have ever had going to work, sick, headache, thought I was going to faint at one point.

On my desk there was a card welcoming me back, and although the day was hard, the smiles and good wishes from people in the first hour or so made it so so so much easier.

Once you are there, have walked through the door, you are back and you have done the hardest thing, you will surprised, I am sure.

I hope the back to work interview goes ok.

Maybe try some herbal stress remedies - rescue remedy is great for calming nerves.
