What childcare do you use during holidays?

I have DD 10.5 and DS 4. Am considering going back to work pretty much full time gulp (interview on Thursday) but not sure what to do in holidays.

Do childminders take children DDs age?

Some childminders will take them at that age but other than that it's just out of school clubs.

Have you thought about a live-in au pair. Children this age are ideal for an au-pair.

I am a childminder and I would take on a 10 year old. I mind up to the age of 13 and would consider minding older children if the parent requested it.

Hope this helps

Some CMs do, I use a holiday club now, plus DH and I taking the odd days leave during the week.

There are some very good council-run play schemes near me, and they're only £1.25 an hour, and run from 9-3. But I think they are primary school age only.

I too would be very interested to know what people do from 11 - 14ish. I'm not sure what I will do next year. My dd will be in yr 6 in September.
