Working as a Nursery Teacher in an outstanding school. I got offered a job. I have been a reception teacher before but not really a nursery teacher. How similar is it to reception is it better than reception or more work ?

I'm a bit confused.

If you were "working as a Nursery Teacher" as in your OP, then surely you know what it is like, working as a Nursery teacher ?

In terms of "better" or "more work" - it is about personal preference.

Some people prefer Nursery and some will prefer Reception. In the same way some teachers prefer Year 1 and some prefer year 6.
Neither is "better", just some things are preferred by different people.

I work as a TA across Nursery and Reception. Nursery is more full on - less sitting down with children on the carpet doing phonics etc and more standing, playing etc. It’s very physical. However, because of ratios there are more adults in Nursery so you can leave the room for two minutes to pop to the loo!
Both jobs are hard but rewarding.
