Will employer pay for travel to team meetings?

I've just secured a new full time WFH role. In the JD it says that I'll have to travel once a month for team meetings (it didn't say where and it sounds like they will move around as the whole team is remote). Do you think I would be expected to pay for travel to these or will the employer pay?

If your place of work in your contract is home then employer pays.

I have this, it’s great, we’re basically touring the UK. Accomodation and travel costs are always paid for by the company.

Employers normally cover expenses when travelling away from your contractual place of work to another location. So check your contract and their expenses policy but that’s what I’d expect.

Check your employer's policies - most will pay but some won't I'm sure.

Depends on employer.... NHS will only pay if the location is further (km, miles) from your home than your usual place of work, and only covers the excess over the usual travel distance. So if I drove to meeting 25 miles away & my usual place of work was 15 miles from my home, I got covered for driving 20 miles extra (the extra 20 roundtrip). Is all. My other employer pays for any travel to a different location and doesn't deduct my usual travel distance from that.

Thanks all. Very helpful. It will be a huge saving for me if they will cover the cost. I'll check my contract as soon as they send it.
