IME these things take longer than they tell you they will. Don't worry, wait it out for a few more days

Myself I would call on Monday and ask them how they are going. Does no harm to look keen and interested.

MissingMyHeels · 09/03/2008 17:28

I would definitely call tomorrow and ask - no reason not to! For all they know he could have several outstanding offers from other companies. These things often get put to the bottom of the list on a Friday, chase first thing I say!

Many many years ago, I went for an interview and they said they would let me know by whatever date. When they didn't I phoned up and said that since I hadn't heard from them, I assumed I had been unsuccessful and would they mind very much giving me some feedback for future interviews.

They said that they were still deliberating, it was a harder decision than they had anticipated.

Later that day they phoned me to offer me the job!

So I think it can work in your favour to give them a call, as it shows you're keen, plus that you seek feedback etc.

Come to think of it that's how it happened for me to. I rang the day after they said they would have decided and the boss guy said "I'll call you back". 5 minutes later job was mine.

My manager later told me that boss had called him and said "make a decision right now".

well i'd call and go with hecates suggestion of wanting feedback.

My dh had an interview on 1st feb. was told it'd be 2-3 weeks until they decide as the boss' were off skiing but he's still waiting to hear tbh we've taken it that it's a no or maybe they offered it to the other bloke they interviewed and are waiting for him to say yes/no before contacting dh I want dh to ring them but he won't stubborn git

This is a tricky one. Sometimes, with both going to the company direct, or if is through an agency, you just don't know what to do.
You so badly want to know, but .....
In our experience - dh is currently looking for an Ops Managers position - we have both used agenciesfor ourselves andaslo we have both hired people.
I find, that if someone wants to get hold of you, you wouldn't believe how quickly they can do it !
But if you want to get hold of them ......

Atleast this one ends with success - I mean the next stage, so that is good.
