Job Application cover letter...

I am about to write to big supermarkets (tesco etc) to see if they have any work.

What is the best way to do this? I have the stores address but who do I address the letter to? How do I word it etc?

There'll be an HR Manager in the store, write to them, but have you been here? There's a whole careers section with details of jobs, the application process, downloading application forms etc...

You're better off calling them and asking, if they have jobs they'll want an application form filling in and you can ask them to send one.
