Selling underwear online

Going to try this again and hopefully it won't be deleted this time! (Not mentioning the website name.)

I have recently joined a website which allows people to sell used underwear online. Was thinking it would be a way to make some easy cash.

So far, lots of chat with potential buyers but no selling. Don't know if I can be bothered to continue. I thought it would be easier. I am not particularly keen on just providing sex chat for random men!

Wondering if anyone else has any experiences of this.

Name change, obviously. Be kind. Thanks.

🤮

It sounds like an easy way to make cash but by the sounds of it you're realising that there's more to it than packing up your used draws and dropping them off at the post office.
Without too much detail what are the conversations about? Does it seem like you will get to the point of sending your knickers or is it just men abusing the service for a cheap thrills chat with no intention of purchasing?

SellingKnickers · 06/09/2023 20:31

That's exactly what I'm thinking. That they're just there to get a cheap thrill.

I've had a few longish 'conversations'. Some were reasonably pleasant (though they could hardly be called intellectually stimulating!) A bit about what the men like. A couple of unsolicited d* pics. Others were describing the things they like to do with the knickers. (You need to be open minded!) I think some see it as a sort of dating site (!)

As I said, it was quite difficult to get to point of them buying the underwear! Maybe I'm not pushy enough?

I suppose I thought it was just a case of stick 'em in the post! Clearly not!

Knickers sell for around £20 a pair. Minus the cost of the knickers. Plus the time spent chatting/taking and uploading pics (of me wearing them but not identifiable). That's not a great hourly rate!

Anyone had any experience of this?

No, but know someone who sold used insoles (sweaty and dirty) for £20.

smashburger · 06/09/2023 22:29

Well, this is something I hadn't thought about being part of the job
Cos of course men are not just scrolling a website with pictures of pants and picking which ones they want to buy

So you're expected to sweet talk them into buying your worn underwear over another sellers?

Jesus Christ. Not as easy as it's made out to be
You should just sell the shoe insoles like pp's friend

Exactly that. I asked another seller for advice about how to receive payment. No reply. It's dog eat dog!

Allthingsworn.com Is supposed to be good if anyone is still interested

IDontHateRainbows · 01/11/2024 02:59

Sounds like the perfect site for cheapskate perverts. If they don't need to pay for anything before talking to you what's to stop them stringing you along with the dirty chat whilst they are doing God knows what with no intention to actually buy anything?
Or do they need to make some purchases initially on the site to be able to chat to sellers?

Not sure who's being taken for a ride more here, the buyers or the sellers!

SellingKnickers · 09/11/2024 10:44

In the end I contacted the webpage and asked for a refund. They refunded with no questions asked. The whole thing was a complete waste of time. Not any easy way to make money at all, just a load of weird, lonely men using the site for cheap (free) thrills.

Disgusting. What is wrong with men? I wonder if it would ever cross any woman's mind to buy such a thing🤢

notnorman · 09/11/2024 10:47

Oh well.
Better get mine in the washer then

Bogocz1 · 09/11/2024 18:24

Nothing wrong with men, if they get turned on by worn knickers where's the harm? There are a lot worse fetishs out there

Well, nothing wrong with dogs sniffing other dogs bottoms. It's what they do.

Doesn't stop it being manky as fk tho!

I’m not a man and I agree with them 🤷‍♀️ nothing wrong with a fetish as long as it doesn’t harm anyone!

JaneJeffer · 09/11/2024 19:46

Christ I'm trying to eat my dinner here 🤢

Bogocz1 · 09/11/2024 19:48

Ugh 😫 it's not the worst thing possible so why shouldn't men sniff women's knickers 🤮

SellingKnickers · 09/11/2024 23:47

I would have loved for men to buy the knickers. It's just they didn't! They just wanted someone to talk dirty to them. My advice would be, don't ever sign up to any of the knicker-selling websites. Just not worth it in terms of the time spent. One website said you should talk to potential buyers for two weeks before moving onto someone else if they haven't yet bought anything.

Thanks for the advice OP! I wasn't planning to in a million years anyway!

Clearly the advice was not aimed at you. It was aimed at people who might be considering it to ensure they don't get ripped off. HTH.
