75% of top of band 4. Is it worth it

I've been offered a band 4 assistant practitioner post within my trust which will consist of working and a day release to college each week.

I'm in two minds whether to take it or not. I am currently a bank band 2 nursing assistant that works mainly night shift si the wage drop to going mainly days due to the 75% is huge especially for the more responsibilities.

The wage would be 74% of the top of a band 4 wage which going by the acceptance of the new pay 🙄 would be around £11.54 per hour for one year when my band 2 with nugh enhancement would be £18+

I do want to progress within my career but don't know if this is worth it.

Anyone got any thoughts?

I would think it would be worth it for career progression. Could you do an odd bank band 2 or 3 nightshift to top up your wages now and again?

Long term where does the new role take you? Over what period of time? Will you end up in a better place than where you are now?

Also how much is the college course and time off to attend worth?

Long term if you are wanting to achieve a band 5 salary then no personally it is not worth the money in my opinion.
Perhaps for the satisfaction POV it may be for you.

If your role is M-F for this new role most people do bank in addition. It depends on what you are wanting to gain ultimately but personally I would rather have less responsibility/stress and work bank. Sundays are decent pay to especially surge shifts OP.
