I received rebates until April of the year I went back to work (last year)

fizzbuzz - excuse my ignorance - was this from teh tax office itself or your employer?

I did but think it was at end of financial year so you might get one in March?

You would receive rebates as long as you were on a cumulative tax code for any remaining month in the current tax year, in which you had already paid income tax. Financial year ends 5th April (or March, for monthly pay).
Payments would come directly from your employer and can either be paid monthly or in one lump sum at the end of the financial year - up to your employer and would depend how their payroll system worked.

thanks folks. dont know if i am on a cumulative code. will just wait til the endof the financial year and see!

(wanders off to dream of new clothes paid for by possible cheque........)

Employer did it. It started when mat pay ran out (Nov), and carried on until March of the next year
