Just had confirmation from work full time employees are now to get an extra 2 days holiday entitlement each year but nothing for part time workers, is this fair?

Well that's stupid, they have to pro rata it out so it's fair.

They might have just been incompotent rather than deliberately being twats though so if I were part time, I'd go back in writing to ask how they had calculated the change to my annual leave allowance.

It is not only unfair, it is illegal. If full time employees are getting additional holiday entitlement, part time employees must get a pro rata increase in their holiday entitlement.

Working Time Regulations and Part Timers (prevention of less favourable treatment) regulations.

As others have said, this is illegal... UNLESS your source has been awarded extra days for long service? We get two extra days holiday after 5 years of continuous employment.
