Civil service HEO feedback

I applied for a HEO post which I didnt get (understandable as I only found the job on the day of deadline so didnt prep well enough).
I clicked the feedback button and it showed:

Does anyone know what this means?? Or just that my application was crap LOL

Civil servant here and work on a lot of campaigns. I replied on your other thread.

Every campaign I have done has been on PS marked out of 7 as first sift then all those who pass with 4+ have one behaviour example marked. Behaviours marked out of 7.

4 being the pass mark and you scoring 23 doesn’t make any sense to me! Really unhelpful. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply and for your time.I am 60 plus and only just found out about civil service recruitment recruiting and recruitment process a few years ago. Late arrival. I am optimistic about working in operations. The ways legislation turns into policy and then applied to operations to improve the life's our people excites me. Getting right and changing what is not going right motivates me endlessly. I will really welcome and advice and support I can find here. Thanks all

Unfortunately there is a lot of competition for each externally advertised role at the moment due to a recruitment freeze so competition is high. There are 150 applicants per post for a HEO campaign I’m working on currently. You might have a better shot at EO posts then going for internal promotion. Most operational HO posts go to existing EOs on promotion even when advertised externally. (Unless very technical).
