If they contacted you regarding a job they saw online in your place of work ? Or is that cheek?

Depends what kind of help they wanted?

FfeminyddCymraeg · 16/12/2022 18:35

Depends on what help they wanted? I wouldn’t give anybody a job just through being a contact.

tellmeimnotsilly · 16/12/2022 18:35

If they just asked for advice on their company what they look for etc not demanding a job or anything

Yes. Why wouldn’t you?

TheCurseOfBoris · 16/12/2022 18:36

What's the harm in helping someone with info, if that's all they want?

happystory · 16/12/2022 18:37

Of course I would, as far as I could

ReluctantLondoners · 16/12/2022 18:37

Yes, I'd advise them on the company. Briefly though. Why wouldn't you?

tellmeimnotsilly · 16/12/2022 18:37

I was gonna apply for a job when I realised he works there... I asked him if my experience would be relevant- that kinda thing.

He hasn't got back to me abd now I worry he thinks I'm a cheeky mere

I thought nothing of it at the time- we were great friends in uni ( not romantic) and I thought I'd get in touch to see if he had any advice or thoughts etc
